Why You Don’t Owe an Explanation for How You Work

In this video, I unpack the exhausting cycle of over-explaining yourself especially when your way of doing things doesn’t match someone else’s definition of “productive.” Maybe you process inwardly, take more time, or move in bursts of energy and that’s okay.

When we actually take the time to learn and respect each other’s personal process, there’s no need to justify, defend, or convince. Strengths-based self-awareness helps you honor how you naturally operate and frees you from the pressure of proving your worth just because it looks different to someone else.
